SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. — Fans headed to Shenandoah Valley’s final regular-season home football game should take note: the matchup against Williams Valley is set for Saturday, October 24, at 1 p.m., with additional stadium-entry procedures announced by the school district.

When and where is kickoff?

The Blue Devils will host Williams Valley at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Shenandoah. The Sentinel reports Shenandoah Valley entered the game 6–2 and Williams Valley 7–1. The start time is in the afternoon rather than a usual Friday-night slot; families should plan their arrival accordingly.

What security measures should visitors expect?

School officials said attendees will be screened at the gate. Backpacks, bookbags, oversized bags and other nonessential bags are prohibited. A small clutch or wristlet no larger than 6.5 by 4.5 inches is permitted, according to the school district guidance reported locally. Clothing, blankets and cameras may be carried loosely. Diaper bags and medically necessary items remain permissible but are subject to inspection.

Entry and reentry restrictions

The rules prohibit reentry after leaving the stadium and bar new admission after halftime. Anyone meeting friends or transporting family members should account for both limits. Superintendent Brian Waite framed the measures as precautions following a stabbing incident at an earlier home game. That context is not a reason to speculate about any threat at Saturday’s contest.

What fans can do

Arrive with minimal belongings, follow directions from school and security staff, and confirm last-minute changes through Shenandoah Valley School District communications. This is a report about published plans, not a promise that every detail will remain unchanged.
