Kline Township — Amazon Web Services / Devil’s Mountain
LAND-DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS
Proposed campus: Lofty Road between I-81 and Route 309, near Kelayres/McAdoo. Nine data-center buildings are planned where warehouses had previously been approved. Supervisors voted Sept. 30; separate permits and clearances remain relevant.
Butler Township — Nebius / Highridge
DEVELOPMENT & PERMIT REVIEW
Area: Highridge Business Park near Gordon Mountain Road and I-81. Nebius and related Highridge zoning/overlay changes remain an important source of upcoming applications and hearings.
Mahanoy Township — Morea Road / data-center zoning
WAREHOUSE CONCEPT DISCUSSED ZONING HEARING NOV. 4
A large warehouse concept has been discussed for land along Morea Road. Separately, the township is considering a data-center zoning ordinance. A warehouse proposal is not proof of a data-center plan.
West Mahanoy Township — Morea Road warehouses
WAREHOUSE DEVELOPMENT ZONING REVIEW
Area: Warehouse site east of Eleanor Road and north of Morea Road. Supervisors initiated a data-center/solar-farm curative-amendment process Sept. 15, saying no data-center application had been received at that time.
North Manheim — Route 61 warehouses
PROPOSAL HISTORY
Area: Adamsdale Road and Greenview Road near Route 61. Warehouse proposals drew public opposition and hearings; no new project-specific November hearing was independently confirmed in this update.
Eastern Schuylkill — Tamaqua, Rush, Schuylkill, Walker
ZONING ORDINANCE ADOPTED
The Oct. 6 regional hearing led to zoning changes: potential data-center areas along East Broad/Route 209 in Tamaqua and near Catawissa Road in Schuylkill Township; warehouse-zoned land in Tidewood Industrial Park in Rush Township. Specific projects would still need approvals.
New Castle Township — Frackville data-center concept
EARLY SIGNAL — UNCONFIRMED
A KRNL data-center concept appears on outside project trackers. We have not independently verified a current project-specific public hearing date. We will not list a date as confirmed without a notice.
Countywide zoning — Schuylkill County commissioners
ORDINANCE REWRITE IN PROCESS
The commissioners began work in August on rules for data centers and energy-storage systems in municipalities regulated by county zoning. This does not replace every township’s independent zoning. No new specific countywide hearing was confirmed in this review.

The four municipalities — Tamaqua, Rush, Walker and Schuylkill — approved the shared data-center/warehouse zoning ordinance.

Supervisors voted to approve the development plan with conditions.
