A Shenandoah Heights woman is facing criminal charges after state police investigated an alleged domestic incident involving a juvenile in West Mahanoy Township.
Police charged 51-year-old Elisha Renee Williams on October 6. Investigators allege that scissors were used to injure a juvenile during the incident.
The reported charges include felony-level assault and child-endangerment counts. SkookPA is withholding unnecessary detail about the juvenile involved.
Charges are allegations
The filing of criminal charges does not establish guilt. The allegations will be addressed through the court process, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

More context for readers (updated October 9, 2026):
Protecting a juvenile’s privacy during a criminal case
When a reported domestic incident involves a minor, many important facts may be withheld from public accounts to protect the young person. That privacy limitation is not a gap a news organization should try to fill with names from gossip, family social-media pages or unverified accounts. Reported criminal charges are allegations and must be evaluated through the courts.
Readers should also avoid assuming that the title of a charged offense establishes every detail of what happened. Public updates may describe a complaint, a preliminary hearing or a negotiated disposition, each of which has a different legal meaning. If someone is currently threatened or injured, emergency assistance matters more than online discussion about the case.
